Michael Mahemoff is a London-based software consultant who has worked in a range of industries, including new media, health care, and - at present - finance. His work has been a mix of Java/J2EE development and architecture, as well as analysis and practical software usability.

He is especially interested in practical applications of psychology to software development. Examples include agile methodologies, intuitive architectures, design patterns, and readable code.

Michael performed undergraduate degrees in software engineering and psychology at the University of Melbourne, where he proceeded to combine these disciplines in a PhD entitled "Design Reuse in Software Engineering and Human-Computer Interaction". Moreover, he has been passionate about programming since he started on an Atari PC, pumping out Basic games and unsophisticated AI long before anyone told him he should be concerned about reliability, productivity, or any other -ility.
