has been involved in software development for ten years, predominantly in the telecoms domain. Currently developing mobile telecom network optimization tools. His main interests are distributed systems, patterns and people issues. He also has a growing interest in agile methods: this has been fostered mainly by first-hand experience of the limitations of high-ceremony processes. As well as having been Conference Chair for OT2003, he is currently Chair of the ACCU (http://www.accu.org).
