OT2001 was my first conf of this sort. Intending to make it to SPA2005.

Sometime programmer/architect in embedded systems. Currently working at Quantel, a manufacturer of video editing systems etc.

Although having hacked, sorry, programmed for 25 years, interested in the human aspects of computing and how we (programmers and consumers) are affected by the technology.

Also I have been trying to get a decent testing support setup going so I don't have to code and hope.

Interested in:

  • Got introduced to what was then OT by Colston Sanger. Also got somewhat involved in "The Programmer's Stone" for a while.
  • StateWave work by Bill Livingston in the US.
  • Epistemology. More from the side of the non-sceptic view. Influenced in part by some of the ideas of Rudolf Steiner. This is the current driver of any software process interests I have at the moment.

Currently trying to improve my one sided programming self by balancing up my (human) skill set! I like playing the clarinet badly, but its good for my soul. Like acting. I suppose I just have to accept that I am an attention seeker.

Well, thats all. Bit of a brain dump, but I hope you get a sense of who I might be. If you do, let me know! I have a rather eclectic web site which needs updating at http://www.charlest.uklinux.net
