What is its central functionality
Gather stakehlders or peers issue a design doc talk through the documentatins and answer questions/take suggestions for change
What does it help me do?
What problem can it help me solve?
Spot design problems get buy-in to a design get understanding of the design by stakeholder and by me can get stakeholders to discuss/agree between themselves
Why would the world be worse if I didn't use it?
If I just issue docs a) people don't read them/understand them b) feedback v. piecemeal
Why does it help solve the problem?
Talking is a medium people find easier to absorb People can ask questions and get them resolved quickly
In which context is this tool useful?
Talking through with a) peers b) the users of the design c) the implementors of the design

Designers/Architects
What are the downsides of using this tool?
Takes time and organisation need to take good notes of the meeting
Are there dangers or risks involved?
If there are obvious flaws you look stupid Can make snap decision on design changes that may not be good
Do I need to use other tools in order to get the full benefit from this tool?
Need to get written sign-off afterwards
