Meta-model store (Tony Barrett-Powell)

Extensible metadata, model driven.

This uses the idea that the data used by the application does not have to be a fixed model, but can be changed after the application is deployed. It does require that the low level application code be able to cope with new data types, with only UI components having to be modified to take advantage of the new types. This model driven approach is similar to the use of XML schema as a model of XML files.
