Jon has been working as an Industry Analyst for over two years. Jon founded Sundial Consultancy (www.sundialconsultancy.com) a year ago, with a remit to establish a resource on new technologies and how they are used in practice. In his role at Sundial, Jon has been working for companies including Sun Microsystems, Microsoft and IDC. Prior to this Jon was a Senior Analyst with Bloor Research, where he wrote reports on Application Service Provision (ASPs) and mobile computing. Consultancy work has included the development of eCommerce strategies, notably for a global insurance company. Before becoming an analyst, Jon worked in the Industrial, Financial and Government sectors in Britain and France, in a variety of roles including Security Consultant, IT Architect, IT Manager, Business Analyst and Software Engineer.
