SPA Conference session: Concept to cash every week

One-line description:

Session format: Case study (75 mins) [read about the different session types]

Abstract:This session takes a look at product development as a system and explores how we build successful enterprise-scale products iteratively, week by week, to satisfy users and drive profit. We'll talk about how we use PDCA to test business assumptions, tune products to customers and improve how we do product development. This will cover aspects of process, agile practices and lean thinking, and because software alone isn't the product, we'll also look at a test-driven approach to operations including environment management, system administration, monitoring, fail over, etc.

The approach was used to deliver one of the busiest entertainment Web sites in the UK - 250 million page views a month.
