I am a Senior Lecturer in Information Systems at the University of Huddersfield. I have research, teaching and consultancy interests in two main areas:
- the development of novel information retrieval-centred software applications.
- the application of agile methodologies for information system development.
The research issues addressed in the first of these are largely technical - focussing on the design of software components and frameworks to enable a wide-range of applications to be developed around a user-centred view of information retrieval.
My work in the second area is focussed on the development of a method for integrating systems thinking techniques into an agile development process based on the UML.
