I'm in Market Development Engineering at Sun Microsystems, responsible for the security segment. I came to technology (in the form of a Commodore VIC-20 computer) aged 12, and following a brief interlude punctuated by music, philosophy and parole,[1] graduated from Kingston University in 1997, an MSc in Information Technology, with distinction.

Following a brief vacation near the Korean borderlands, I was kidnapped and kept as a pet by evil cyber-terrorists in China. After 12 years of catatonic silence, I finally regained consciousness whilst driving to work on 101. Now, I'm working as a waitress in a small....oh wait, this isn't friendsreunited, is it?

Margaritas are what California is for. Software idealism is dead. It really doesn't matter if you're right if everyone else is stupid.[2].

I live on Vancouver Island with my family, where it rains a lot. We're doing our bit to bring a warmer climate to Canada though.[3]
